About The Podcast
About The Podcast
The equestrian world is built on the unique partnership we share with our horses, shaped through generations of experience and tradition. Yet many of the most valuable lessons and insights never travel very far.
The Stable Hour is a place where those perspectives, stories and knowledge are shared more openly. A place to talk about the realities of working with horses and to ask important questions: where are we heading, where is our sport going, and what helps us become better athletes, riders, leaders and horse owners.
We believe education is part of the answer, but most of that knowledge is not found in textbooks. It lives in your stories, your experience, and your expertise. The Stable Hour consists of a fantastic team of people building and producing a premium podcast and media platform. From our studio in Copenhagen, we bring together voices from our sport. Because again, we are better together.

About the host
Eva Cappelen
Eva Cappelen
Eva Cappelen has spent most of her life within the world of horses. Daughter of a dressage champion, she built a long showjumping career competing internationally for Norway, producing and developing horses, training a large team of students, and running her own sales stable in both Norway and the Netherlands.
After years in the arena, and later as a corporate executive, she has seen the sport from different perspectives. Much of that insight and knowledge is rarely passed on - especially from the people who actually could help others become better - and rarely to the people who need it most.
Eva believes the sport can benefit from a broader community of true horse people, not only competition riders, and from a broader understanding of success, not only short-lasting wins. Equestrians are people who want to be the best they can be, either as athletes or as horsepeople, but then we need the possibility to share and access knowledge. The Stable Hour exists because Eva wants to contribute to that.

Feeding Expert & Veterinarian Idun Rosenfeld | Performance Starts with Feeding Part 1
What if one of the biggest factors influencing your horse's health, welfare, and performance isn't training - but feeding?
In this episode of The Stable Hour, we sit down with feeding expert and veterinarian Idun Rosenfeld to explore the foundations of equine nutrition. Together, we discuss why forage should always come first, the most common feeding mistakes horse owners make, how to evaluate hay quality, and why understanding your horse's nutritional needs is essential for both long-term health and performance.
Whether you're a competitive rider, trainer, breeder, or passionate horse owner, this conversation is packed with
practical, research-based insights that can help you make better decisions for your horse.
In the debut episode of The Stable Hour, host sits down with Pether Markne - Olympic dressage rider, international showjumper, and one of Europe's most respected horsemen. Together, they explore what it truly means to put the horse first, discussing horse welfare, rider development, patience, performance pressure, and the principles of great horsemanship. A thoughtful conversation about creating horses that thrive, not just perform.

This platform is built on a simple belief: when we get to know the people behind the knowledge, the experience and results, the sport grows stronger. In today’s world, shaping your own narrative is no longer something reserved for a few. Not in business. Not in other sports. And not in global industries.
The people who actively share their thinking, experiences and perspectives help build stronger communities, stronger partnerships and long-term opportunities around what they do. We believe equestrian sport is no different. Guests on The Stable Hour are not chosen based on rankings alone, but on their ability to contribute knowledge, perspective, and positive impact to the sport, the industry, our community.

The equestrian experience is strongly shaped by the people closest to us. Our stable community, other riders, trainers and experts influence what we learn, how we manage our horses and often what we choose to buy. In many ways, inspiration and education in the sport travel only a short distance. At the same time, the elite level can sometimes feel distant. Polished. A world where we see the results, but rarely get to know the people behind them.
Across other sports and industries, the brands and people who build authentic relationships with their audiences create stronger communities and stronger long-term value. We believe equestrian sport is no different. For brands, this represents an opportunity to connect with the community in a more meaningful way.
